Tattoo After Care Instructions
In rare cases, some clients may experience an allergic reaction to the adhesive in the bandage. If you notice a red rash, bumps, blisters, or itching, please remove the bandage immediately and proceed to Step 3.
The first bandage should stay in place for 24-48 hours, depending on level of activity. It is normal for blood and fluids to collect under the bandage.
Wash hands or put on a new set of sterile disposal gloves.
Directions for Removal: Gently peel the Derm Shield by pulling it slowly from the edge back over itself. Do not pull the bandage upwards.
Remove the current bandage and discard.
Use provided antibacterial soap cleaning your tattoo 1-2 times a day as needed, until the tattoo has fully healed.
After the fresh tattoo has been cleaned and dried off apply a thin layer of ointment a few times a day just enough to keep the tattoo from looking dry. DO NOT over-lubricate your tattoo. Do not pick at your tattoo when it starts to peel around day 3 or 4.
